Reports: Flooding in Cherokee Village
CHEROKEE VILLAGE, AR - - Viewers are reporting some flooding in Cherokee Village Saturday night. However, the Cherokee Village Police Department said the flooding they currently have is nothing above normal. Meteorologist Andrew Wilson has been tracking the rainfall and said the western counties in Region 8 will see the most rainfall in our area. Man sentenced for crimes against a child
JONESBORO, AR - A Region 8 man will spend 26 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexual offenses committed against a child. James Lee Smith, 35, of Cherokee Village pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault in the second degree and one count of sexual indecency with a child, said Henry Boyce, prosecuting attorney for the Third Judicial District.
